Happy Friday

Whew! It’s Friday πŸ˜›

Just finished two weeks of one to one support for children with special needs at spring break camps. Now back to my regular work schedule. πŸ™‚

As for art, I finished those tree paintings for my friend! I will give them to her this weekend and then after she sees them and is happy with them I will post pics for the rest of you. I know, waiting is hard. πŸ˜› After those were done I moved on to a few sketches and some smaller projects that I hope will move quickly. The goal is to do a couple paintings where I can practice just getting my idea on the canvas before it goes stale and isn’t interesting anymore. Just get it out and done and move on. We’ll see how it goes. πŸ˜›

So here you go, a couple sketches and a painting in the works (at least I’m not sure if it’s done or not yet)

This one is kind of funny, because I did the colourful part last year sometime, didn’t finish it and put it aside for several months. Lately I’ve been going over different ideas in my head for it all involving some kind of white silhouette and then tonight I thought of doing a mountain range because I love mountains. But it looks kind of cool whichever way you turn it and I’m not sure if I should leave it as is or add more detail..

I just started putting this one on canvas tonight..

Retro House at Night

This is the other one that I’m hoping to put into painting quickly. I think I have just the right canvas for it too… Tall and narraw to emphasize the big “heavenly” expanse above the house and stars…

Aaannnnddd… that’s it.

  1. Hey,Ruth, I love your four seasons paintings! And your retro house at night:) – can’t wait to see it painted. Go girl! I’m soooooo proud of you. You have much to offer through your artistic expression and I believe as you keep developing it you will find it grow and expand beyond anything you would’ve imagined.
